Terms & Conditions

First Group Enterprises Ltd is the owner and provider of First News Education products: First News Print Newspaper, First News Digital Newspaper, First News Engage, Engage Pro and Engage Printables. The registered address is 10 London Mews, London, W2 1HY.

The standard contract period for First News Education is one year. Please note that we operate a rolling renewal process. This means we will automatically renew your school’s First News Education package every year. First News Education also offers two or three-year subscriptions.

If you would like to cancel or amend your subscription at the end of your contract period you must notify us by email giving at least 30 days’ notice prior to the end of your contract.

Please note, unless we receive a cancellation notification from you in this time your contract will be automatically renewed for another year and a new invoice will be issued. If you have elected to take a two or three-year contract you are committed to this period and it cannot be cancelled during the course of the subscription. We will automatically renew two and three-year subscriptions for one year as standard. You can upgrade your contract at any point.

Invoices are payable within 30 days. Prices are guaranteed for the duration of your subscription. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit or recurring Card Payment Plan you will be automatically renewed as standard and you will not receive an invoice.

We reserve the right to increase the prices for any subsequent year in line with our own inflationary cost increases. First News incur regular cost increases due to fluctuations in price of paper, distribution and other factors which contribute to the overall cost of producing and supplying the products.

On registering for a subscription, you acknowledge that you have provided First News Education with the correct contact details for the ongoing management of the subscription and for billing purposes. Should any of these contacts leave the establishment it will be your responsibility to update First News Education with new contact details.

Delivery charges within the UK are included in the price of your order. For any delivery outside of the UK, we will charge based on location and weight, and communicate this clearly during the checkout process.

UK copies dispatch from our mailing house every Wednesday using Royal Mail and selected couriers for larger orders. We make every effort to ensure your copies are delivered on Friday, but we are subject to the delivery service in your area and delays may occur. If your copies have failed to arrive by Tuesday – or you have any other problems with delivery – please contact [email protected] In the event of a delay in delivery, we are unable to offer a refund.

In order to rectify any issues with your delivery address please notify [email protected] within 5 working days of a missed delivery.

International subscriber copies will dispatch from our mailing house on a Thursday. Services will vary by country and region, but you should expect to wait between 5-7 working days for your delivery to arrive.

We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to cancel printed copies in your subscription if it becomes apparent to us that the postal or courier service in your area is continually failing to deliver to your school address successfully or on time.

Subscribers are prohibited from sharing digital copies, log in credentials and downloadable activities across all First News Education products, with anyone outside of their school. Schools are prohibited to share downloadable PDF copies on public school websites. This is admissible on password protected online classrooms.
