We are pleased to announce that First News’ digital reading platform Engage Pro has been shortlisted for the English Teach Primary Award 2024!
“The resources were high quality and allowed students to experience questions in line with what they will encounter at GCSE”.
Engage Pro is a news-based literacy learning platform which provides engaging weekly activities based on the latest news. This includes comprehensions, vocabulary puzzles, debate topics and polls.
The platform also supplies a personalised learning experience for every pupil, at a range of different levels, plus a teacher dashboard to track progress and reward student success.
Ulverston Victoria High School stated that “The resources were high quality and allowed students to experience questions in line with what they will encounter at GCSE”.
2024 Teach Awards
The 2024 Teach Awards pinpoints the educational resources most deserving of schools’ time and attention and the entries are judged by these five criteria:
Does the resource meet a genuine need?
What impact is it likely to have?
How easy is the resource to implement and use?
Can the resource be adapted for use in different settings?
Does it represent good value for money?
The winners will be announced later this year, fingers crossed for First News!
