TUI Better World Detectives: KS2 & KS3 Geography Resource on Sustainable Tourism

By amysawyer 17th June 2019

Using case studies, technology and exciting classroom activities, these resources use travel and tourism to explain how important our role is in protecting the planet and environment, both locally and abroad. The resources are created by TUI in collaboration with the Geographical Association and written by inspirational teachers.

They are the most useful, most applicable and most up-to-date geography resources you’ll find anywhere on sustainable tourism!

Primary Resources

The primary lessons take you on a six-lesson journey to a fictional town in Costa Rica, where you’re encouraged to use critical thinking and investigative skills to discover why the town’s much-loved turtle population is in decline. The lessons are deliberately cross-curricular and all have differentiation opportunities to make it as easy as possible to use in the classroom. Download the Primary Resources.

Secondary Resources

In the secondary pack, you’ll find all topics under the three areas of sustainability – economy, environment and social. Each lesson uses real-life case studies to bring the subject alive and equip you with the core skills you need to become inquisitive geographers. Download the Secondary Resources.
