Tax, Fairness and P4C – new FREE resource from ActionAid

Featured Resource Partners

ActionAid and SAPERE, who have been crafting ‘Philosophy for Children’ (P4C) for over 25 years, have joined forces to create a brilliant new education pack on tax.

This may seem an unlikely topic for the classroom, but in the context of philosophical enquiry, taxation offers a rich seam of concepts and questions that children can explore.

Tax injustice is an ethical and political issue that affects millions of people and though taxation is not part of children’s direct daily experience, it does affect them and children like them around the world.

A Special Report in First News this week (3rd March, Issue 559) features St Nicholas’ Primary School who spent a fascinating day trying out the ActionAid activities.

Download the NEW free resources here, along with the First News Special Report. We have also focussed on tax in this week’s First News Debate: ‘Should we pay more tax?’ which provides interesting reading after completing the ActionAid exploratory activities.
